Carr of Walters were held in the W.J.M. Holland Funeral Chapel, Tuesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev, Sutton of Mt. Carmel Church. Mrs. Carr died in a Roanoke hospital on Monday after a brief illness. She was the widow of Claude C. Carr, and daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mrs. Dora Bradshaw Carr of Isle of Wight County. Survivors include a son, Fletcher Carr of Roanoke; two sisters, Mrs. W. W. Carr of Walters, and Mrs. Clyde Hall of Carrsville; five brothers, Willie Carr and J. A. Carr of Walters; Fenton Carr of Zuni; Crawley Carr of Holland, Bradford Carr of Windsor. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Christian Church cemetery. Pallbearers were Jasper Carr, Lonnie Carr, Jimmy Joyner, Willard Duke, A. L. Duck Jr. and Richard Rose.
