FRANKLIN – Mrs. Virgie Coggsdale Cutchins, 78, 607 Walnut St., Franklin, died Friday 20 August 1982 in Southampton Memorial Hospital.  

Born in Southampton County, she was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.  

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bernice C. Rogers and Mrs. Earnestine C. Wade, both of Franklin, and Mrs. Faye C. Porter of Courtland; three sons, J.C. Cutchins of Windsor, and Roger Lee Cutchins and Carlton Cutchins, both of Franklin; a stepson, Jack Cutchins of Suffolk; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Blanche C. Haldeman of Hampton and Mrs. Thelma C. Williams of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Mary C. Duck, Mrs. Annie C. Brock and Mrs. Gladys C. Blythe, all of Franklin; a brother, John W. Coggsdale Sr. of Handsom; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday 22 August 1982 in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Allan Melton and the Rev. R.E. Brittle. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery.  

The family is at the Roger Lee Cutchins residence, 16 Crescent Drive, Franklin.
