Sedley – Harold Randolph Cook, 84, passed away January 28, 2019, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Harold was a native of Southampton County, a son of the late Charlie and Lizzie Bradshaw Cook.  

He was also predeceased by four brothers: Clarence, Bobby, Billy, and Johnnie Cook. Harold was a member of Sedley Baptist Church and a retired foreman with Union Camp Corporation after 42 years of service. He was an Army veteran. Harold's pleasures were woodworking, fishing, and volunteering at the Southampton Agricultural & Forestry Museum.  

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 years, Jessie Johnson Cook; a son, Troy R. Cook (Carolyn); four brothers, Charles Cook (Janice), Mason Cook (Bernice), Donald Cook (Janice), and Glenn Cook (Paulette); two grandchildren, Shelby Thorpe and Amanda Ritter (Andy); and four great-grandchildren, Garrett, Gannon, Karter, and Kolton.  

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 PM Thursday, January 31, 2019, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Jim Foreman officiating. The burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday [30 January 2019] and suggests that memorial donations be made to The Southampton Agricultural & Forestry Museum, 26315 Heritage Lane, Courtland, VA 23837.
