Edward W. Crichton Of Southampton Dies FRANKLIN, July 7-Edward Winfield Crichton, 75, prominent farmer of Southampton County, died at his home near Capron this morning after an illness of many months. Mr. Crichton was the son of the late Dr. James and Margaret Ann Elizabeth Crichton of Brunswick and Southampton counties. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rena Joyner Crichton: four daughters, Mrs. W. A. Hawks of Carson, Mrs. W. H. Holmes of Capron, Margaret and Florence Crichton of Capron; four sons, F. B. Winfield and Leroy of Pennsylvania, and Edward Jr. of Capron, and a number of grandchildren. Mr. Chichton was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Courtland, vice-president of the Bank of Capron for many years and a consistent member of Applewhite Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 5 P. M. 11 Jul, 1934, from his home near Capron with interment in Capron Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be V. S. Pittman, J. E. Foxx. T. D.
