Broun Conway Dameron Sr., 59, of Franklin, a native of Kinsale, died Sunday, 28 December 1986, at a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Dameron was president of Franklin Equipment Co. and a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church at Franklin. He was a graduate of St. Christopher's School in Richmond and Hampden-Sydney College. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Ames Dameron; two sons, Broun Conway Dameron Jr. of Asheville, N.C., and Robert Ames Dameron of Virginia Beach; a brother, Zachariah Courtney Dameron Jr. of Richmond; and three grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, 30 December, at 10:30 a.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Franklin with the Rev. Ben R. Duffey officiating. Burial was at Yeocomico Episcopal Church Cemetery at Kinsale at 3 p.m.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial contributions to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church Endowment Fund or Yeocomico Episcopal Church Cemetery Endowment Fund. Wright Funeral Home in Franklin handled the arrangements.

Mr. Broun Conway Dameron, 59, of 1112 Clay Street, Franklin and formerly of Charlottesville, President of Franklin Equipment Company, died 28 December 1986 in a Norfolk Hospital.

A native of Kinsale, Westmoreland County, Va., Mr. Dameron graduated from St. Christopher's School in Richmond and Hampden-Sydney College. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Franklin.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Ames Dameron; two sons, Broun Conway Dameron Jr. of Asheville, N.C., and Robert Ames Dameron of Virginia Beach; one brother, Zachariah Courtney Dameron Jr. of Richmond; and three grandchildren: Elizabeth Ames Dameron, Mary Broun Dameron and Patrick Conway Dameron. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Franklin by Rev. Ben R. Duffey.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Yeocomico Episcopal Church Cemetery, Kinsale, Va. Pallbearers are G. Elliott Cobb Jr., R. Marshall Coggin, S. Daley Craig, Roger W. Drake, Dr. Robert T. Edwards, Benjamin B. Morris, John D. Munford and William E. Rachels Jr. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Board of Directors of Franklin Equipment Company.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Emmanuel Episcopal Church Endowment Fund or Yeocomico Episcopal Church Cemetery Endowment Fund.
