FRANKLIN--Nancy Rose Darden, 6, died Monday morning at Roanoke - Chowan Hospital in [Ahoskie, N.C.

She was the daughter of J. Ashley and Jane Edwards Darden. Besides her parents she is survived by a sister, Carolyn Jane Darden, and a brother,; J. Ashley Darden Jr. of Newsoms; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roger D. Edwards of Courtland, and her parental grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Darden Sr. of Newsoms.

Funeral services will be conducted today at 2:30 p.m. at Barnes Methodist Church by the Rev. O. L. Gochenour, pastor; the Rev. R. E. Brittle, pastor of the Bethlehem Christian Church, and the Rev. Roy Everett of, Richmond. Burial will be in Newsoms Cemetery, The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.
