Charles Fitchett Obituary Charles Randolph Fitchett, Jr., 70, went to be with our Lord on February 10, 2019. He was the son of the late Charles Randolph Fitchett and Jessie Morgan Fitchett. Charles was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Norfolk. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Newport News. Charles founded James River Mechanical in Smithfield in 1984. He was the heart and soul of the company. He thoroughly enjoyed his career and worked very hard to make the company successful. He was very outgoing, loved to fish and enjoyed classic cars. Charles had a way of making everyone feel special and genuinely cared for each of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Jolane Jones Fitchett; daughter, Katherine Reynolds (Scott); son, Morgan Fitchett (Jamie), 3 stepsons, Mark Munford (Lisa), Paul Munford (Diana), and Jared Lovern (Jenna); step daughter Brittney Lovern; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; his sister Carol Fitchett Cunningham of St. Louis, MO. The family will receive friends at Harvest Baptist Church in Smithfield from 11 am to 12 PM on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Funeral Service will be private.
