Mrs. Forbes was a daughter of the late Norfleet and Martha "Mattie" Boyce Fowler and was predeceased by three brothers, James, Carroll and Floyd Fowler. She was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and was a Baptist. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Richard Lawrence Forbes and Ronald Boyce Forbes and two sisters, Virginia F.
