NEWPORT NEWS - Catherine Harrison Garrett, 74, a 50-year resident of the Peninsula, died Tuesday, Dec. 17. Mrs. Garrett was a native of Isle of Wight County and was a member of Orcutt Baptist Church. Survived by a daughter, Barbara A. Pallette of Newport News; three sons, Michael B. Garrett, Wayne M. Garrett and Marvin Garrett of Newport News; two brothers, Charles Harrison of Williamsburg and Tommy Harrison of Arizona; and seven grandchildren. Visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Peninsula Funeral Home. Funeral at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home by the Rev. Ken Trinkle. Burial in Peninsula Memorial Park.
