James Griggs SEPT. 12, 1938 TO AUG. 4, 2005 VETERAN James R. "Grandpa" Griggs, 66, of Poulsbo died Aug. 4 at his home. He was born in San Francisco. He served in the Army for nearly nine years and worked in naval shipyards as a fork lift driver for 30 years. Mr. Griggs enjoyed visiting his grandchildren and going to swap meets. Surviving are a son, Edward Anthony Griggs and his wife, Christina, and their children, Edward Jr., Joanna and Alysa, all of Franklin, Va.; a brother, Roy Griggs and his wife, Dee, of Lacey; two nephews, Roy Griggs and Steve Griggs and his wife, Tracy, all of Lacey; and two great-nieces, Katie and Kelsey, both of Lacey.
