EDWARDS Mrs. Lillie Grizzard Edwards, age 81, died at her residence in Boykins on Thursday morning, 11 December 1969. A native of Greensville County, she was the widow of Floyd Edwards and the daughter of John Andrew and Mrs. Lillie Johnson Grizzard.

She is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Adelia Crutchlow, Mrs. Bessie Allen, and Mrs. Margaret Cifers, all of Emporia; Mrs. Maebelle Burgess of Courtland; and Mrs. Dorothy Lassiter of Boykins; five sons: Andrew F. Edwards and Bob C. Edwards, both of Drewry, Virginia; Raymond F. Edwards of Emporia; Dudley G. Edwards of Jarratt; and Horace O. Edwards of Branchville; one sister, Mrs. Wallace Turner; brothers Jodie B. Grizzard and Frank Grizzard, all of Emporia; 24 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, 13 December 1969, at 2 P.M. in the McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery. The family will be at the residence of R.T. Lassiter Jr. in Boykins.
