He was the son of the late Pearl Opal and John Addicus Hansford. John was a veteran of the U. S. Army, 173rd Airborne Infantry, who served in the Vietnam War where he received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and various other medals. He was a strong believer in Christ and had great influence on his family and friends by sharing his Christian values. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, family camping trips, and riding motorcycles. He is survived by his loving wife Peggy of 54 years; children Kimberly Barek and husband Karl, Lori Gay and husband Heath, and Nicholas Hansford and wife Stacie; grandchildren Isabella, Aidan, Janie, Olivia, Owen, and Emma; brother Michael Hansford and wife Darlene and sister Mary Hansford.
