The Rev. W. A. Gurganus officiated. There were many floral offerings. During the services Mrs. B. E. Fletcher sang "I Will Meet You In the Morning" and a duet was sung by Misses Edna and Leona Carney, "I'm Going Down the Valley." Miss Edith Basnight accompanied on the piano. Pallbearers were C. C. Hudgins, G. G. Thomas, E. T. Murden, L. G. Thomas, J. J. Woodhouse, F. E. Langley, B. E. Delridge and B. E. Fletcher. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
