Julia Brown (Hudgins) Vogeley  

Yorktown - Julia Brown (Hudgins) Vogeley, longtime resident of Yorktown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, 2 April at the age of 98. A native of Gates County, North Carolina, she graduated from UNC Greensboro and worked at NACA Langley, where she met her husband of 47 years, Arthur Vogeley. She kept a welcoming home and delighted in spending time with her family, playing bridge with Art, socializing with friends over York River seafood, and volunteering in her church and community. A graceful and generous presence to all who knew her, she will be warmly remembered by her children Bill Vogeley, Susan (Harvey) Vogeley, and Jim Vogeley; and her grandchildren Lynette, Betty, Ginger, Scott, Nial, and Naomi. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Friday, 7 April at Grace Episcopal Church in Yorktown.
