She was born on July 13, 1923 to the late James Frank Johnson and Olia Blythe Johnson. Her husband, William J. Council, preceded Mrs. Council in death. Two sisters, Christine J. Ricks of Charlotte, NC and Evelyn J. Johnston of Wilmington, NC, survive her. Survivors also include her daughter Loretta Felgentreu of Courtland; three sons, Billy Council and wife Dot of Sugar Hill, GA, Bobby Council of Franklin, and John Council and wife Charlotte of Statesboro, GA; ten grandchildren, Janet Stephens of Ivor, Kevin Felgentreu and wife Tracie of Suffolk; Jason, Dustin, Holly, Bethany, Autumn and Ethan Council, of Statesboro, GA; David Rose and wife Alicia of Kenosha, WI, Dean Rose and wife Jennifer of Junction City, KS; fourteen great grandchildren, Shane Stephens of Ivor; Alyssa and Aaron Felgentreu of Suffolk; Sheyenne Rose and Danny Campbell of Port Orange, FL; Nika Rose of Kenosha,WI; Tiffany Rose Bailey, Brittney, and Michaela Rose of Nashville, TN; Morgan, Connie, and J.T. Rose, Tevin and Jarod Geike of Junction City, KS; one Great-Great Granddaughter, LeAnn Bailey of Nashville, TN., and a son-in-law John Felgentreu of Franklin. She was a beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews. She also was fortunate to have been blessed with many special cousins. Mrs. Council shared her joy of life and passion for baking with all her friends and family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and will live in our hearts forever. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 11 at Corinth Friends Meeting, 13494 Corinth Road, Ivor, Virginia 23866.
