Mrs. Ella J. Pond, age 85, widow of Walter Norfleet Pond, of 3741 Rusk Ave., died 26 Apr 1978. She is survived by two stepdaughters, Mrs. Marable, of Richmond; Mrs. C. C. (Hazel) Copeland, of Suffolk, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Georgia Hennesey of Denver, Colorado; two stepgrandchildren; nine stepgreatgrandchildren; one foster granddaughter; four foster greatgrandchildren. Her remains rest at the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home, 3rd and Marshall Sts., where services will be held Saturday [29 Apr 1978] at 11 A.M. Interment Maury. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Manchester Rescue Squad.
