He was also predeceased by three brothers, Morris, Jack, and Allen Lamm and two sisters, Eloise Kaloplastos and Betty Bartlett. Dennis was a retired paper maker for Union Camp Corporation with 42 years of service. He was a member and Deacon Emeritus of Sunbeam Baptist Church, Franklin Masonic Lodge 151 AF&AM, and Hunterdale Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
