Florence Marrone Obituary

Florence Rose Marrone 93, of Suffolk, VA passed away peacefully in her home on December 18, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Louis A. Marrone. 

Florence was born on June 13, 1929 in Ozone Park, NY. In 1986, she moved to Suffolk where she worked as a teacher's assistant for 24 years, retiring at the age of 85, the oldest employee of Suffolk Public Schools. She was a longtime member of The Church of St Therese. Flo loved to bake and host holiday meals. Flo and Lou enjoyed taking trips to the casinos to play the slots. Flo's greatest joy in life was her family. 

Florence is survived by her three children, Angelo Marrone (Denise), Louis Marrone (Janice), Barbara Leseye (John); Five grandchildren, Jenna Fazzinga (Jason), Kristen Leseye (David), Christine Anderson (Steven), Allison Biancamano (Carmine) and John Leseye (Lindsey). She also had six great grandchildren; Zoejane, Aidaleigh and Owen Leseye, Everleigh Fazzinga, and Jackson and Luca Biancamano. 

The funeral service for Florence will be held at R. W. Baker & Co Funeral Home and Crematory, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, VA 23435, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM by Father Kevin O'Brien. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Meadowbrook Memorial and Cremation Gardens, 4569 Shoulders Hill Rd. Suffolk, VA 23435.
