Robbie was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Marshall, her father, Robert Marshall, Sr. and her brother Robert "Bob" Marshall, II (Vee). She is survived by her children, Catherine Joyner (Steve) of Portsmouth, VA and Clayton Ferrell (Debra) of New Johnsonville, TN; nephew, Robert Marshall, III; and numerous cousins. Robbie was born and raised in Richmond, VA. Where she graduated from John Marshall High School and Richmond Polytechnic Institute (VCU) with a B. A. in Fine Arts. After college she embarked on a 40 year career in the Advertising Industry. She began by working as a Graphic Designer, moving on to Production Manager and finally Account Executive. She loved all her talented and fun co-workers, who became lifelong friends. Upon retirement, Robbie had many interests to keep her busy. Over the years she traveled to Hawaii, Paris, London and Greece. Other interests included reading, photography, and working with her many flowers in her back yard in Portsmouth. She always stayed connected to her first love, painting, and took any class she could to better her talent. Then she found and joined a painting group at the Charles Taylor Center which brought her hours of enjoyment and a new group of friends. But what brought her the most joy were her children, Catherine and Clayton. We would like to thank the Third Floor staff at Harmony at Harbor View for taking such good care of Mom the past three years. Especially Cathy, whom Mom created a special bond with, and Ivan, of Interim Hospice for looking after her this past year and keeping her comfortable to the end. There will be a Celebration of Life for Robbie on April 28, 2024, 2-5pm at Steve and Catherine Joyner's home in Portsmouth. Robbie loved kitchy flamingos so we're asking that you wear pink in honor of Mom. R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, North Suffolk Chapel is serving the family.
