Joe McDonough Obituary Joe Ann B. McDonough Portsmouth － Joe Ann Bryant McDonough, 82, widow of John F. "Scotty" McDonough died October 15, 2014. She was born in Lynchburg, VA to the late Callie and Fannie Bryant. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Beth Doloresco and husband Art of Scottsdale, AZ; John, Jr. and wife Alice of Hickory, NC; Michael and wife Johanna of Ruckersville, VA; Patrick and wife Cathy of Suffolk, VA and Gina Downs and husband Chuck of Lexington, SC, 17 loving grandchildren and 3 beautiful great-grandchildren. She was the preceded in death by her two brothers, Leslie Leon Bryant, Sr. of Portsmouth, VA and Donald Bryant, of Memphis, TN and her sister, Peggy Schmid of Merrillville, IN. She was a 1952 graduate of Maryview Hospital School of Nursing and retired from Maryview Behavioral Medicine Center. While she lived in Portsmouth Joe Ann was an active member of Church of the Resurrection. She took special delight in her grandchildren's activities and accomplishments. Her grandsons are honored to serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday October 19 from 5:30 to 7 p. m. in Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, Suffolk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a. m. Monday October 20 in Church of the Resurrection, 3501 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth. Burial will be Tuesday October 21 at 12 noon at Albert G.
