Albert Norrick Obituary Albert J. Norrick Chesapeake - Albert Joseph Norrick, CDR, USN RET, 68, of Deep Creek, VA died November 21, 2013 in Surry County, VA. He was born on May 21, 1945 in New Kensington, PA to Bertha Mae and Joseph Frederick Norrick who predeceased him. Joe was a graduate of Citizens General Hospital School of Nursing and School of Anesthesia. He later received a Bachelor of Science Degree from George Washington University. He served in the United States Navy for 22 years, retiring as a Commander. He was a Vietnam Veteran. Following his retirement from the Navy, he worked as an anesthetist at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, VA. Joe loved golfing, singing, telling jokes, hunting, the Pittsburgh Steelers, attending the ODU Football games, and above all, his family and friends. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Bayside Hunt Club, the Tidewater Seniors Golf Association, the Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
