Ray Turner Ray L. Turner, 69, of 3301 Deer Path Rd., died Dec. 10, 1966 in a Portsmouth nursing home. A native of Colosse, he was the son of the late John Turner and Nolie Turner.

He had retired as a night watchman. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Cleary Turner; a daughter, Audrey T. Wiley of Suffolk; two sons, Ray L. Turner Jr. of Halifax and Floyd W. Turner of Suffolk; a sister, Edith T. Ellis of Suffolk; two brothers, James O. Turner of Suffolk and Fenton Turner of Ahoskie, N.C.; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Charles W. Thompson. The family will be at the residence. Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
