Linda S. Roberts

Suffolk - Linda Faye Sugg Roberts, 69, passed away July 24, 2015 in her home. 

Mrs. Roberts, a native of Portsmouth, was the daughter of the late Council Raymond Sugg, Jr. and Dora Emily Waters Sugg. Prior to the birth of her first son, she worked at Leggett's Department Store and then as credit manager at Robertson Hardware in Portsmouth. She devoted the rest of her life to being the Best Mother she could be. 

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, John G. Roberts; three sons, Peter G. Roberts and wife Holley, and their children, Emeline and Ella; Patrick G. Roberts and wife Kathryn, and their children Mary and Virginia; Paul G. Roberts and wife Lori, and their children Emily and Erin. Also surviving are three sisters, Sylvia Syromi, Betty Brittain, Ruth Casey; and three brothers, Council Sugg, William Sugg, and Joseph Sugg. 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p. m. Tuesday at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a. m.
