Joseph Collier (J C) Rose 10 Aug 1920 - 23 April 2016 ENFIELD - J. C. Rose, 95, died Saturday, April 23, 2016. A memorial graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Elmwood Cemetery in Enfield. The Reverend Carl Greene will be presiding. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Community Baptist Church, 177 Watson Street, Enfield. G-Daddy was a loving husband, father, brother, granddaddy, great -granddaddy, and great-great-granddaddy. He was an excellent cabinet maker and enjoyed working with wood. His favorite past times were hunting, gardening, and housing purple martins. G-Daddy was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Andrews Rose; his parents, William Henry Rose, Jr. and Julia Ann Dixon Rose; and his brothers and sisters, Lossie Mae Combs, James Otto Rose, Erma Estelle Bradley, Willie Wise Rose, Tommie Alton Rose, Selma Leigh Joyner, Vivian Janie Woody, and Jimmy Van Rose. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Ann Price and husband David of Zebulon; his son, Thomas Rose and wife Charlene of Knoxville, TN; his brother, Edward Ray Rose of Oak Level; three grandchildren, Robert Wade Bemis and wife Sandi, Christopher Anthony Rose, and Stephanie Anne Rose-Engel and husband Kevin; six great-grandchildren, Christopher Jordan, Candice Stitt, Matthew Bemis, Kayla Rose, Hunter Engel, and Landon Engel; and five great-great-grandchildren.
