He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Isle of Wight, where he was a member of the Men's Bible Class and was a former deacon. He was also a member of the Franklin Masonic Lodge No. 151. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Billie Barrett Rose; a daughter, Miss Adina Baker Rose of Carrsville; a son, Robert Barrett Rose of Carrsville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rose Jr. of Carrsville; and two sisters, Mrs. Joanne R.
