Sulpicio Saniano Obituary Sulpicio M. Saniano Chesapeake - Sulpicio M. "Sam" Saniano, 77, passed away Wednesday October 2, 2013. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, U. S. Navy Veteran of Vietnam Conflict, retired from the U. S. Navy after 23 years and was the husband of Fidencia R. "Betsy" Saniano. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Sylvis S. Grow and Conchita S. Caldwell; two sons, Jeffrey Saniano and Jason Saniano; nine grandchildren, two brothers, Hilarion and Zosimo Saniano and one nephew, Juan Saniano. He was predeceased by his parents Macario and Cipiriana Saniano and brother Sotero Saniano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Monday October 7, in St. Paul Catholic Church, 518 High Street, Portsmouth, VA by the Rev. Gino Rossi. Burial with Navy Honors will follow in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery, 5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, Virginia 23434. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p. m. Sunday. A Christian Wake service will be held at 6:30 p. m. Sunday in Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, VA.
