He was the son of the late Armenious Gayhardt and Lulie Crump Schramm of Southampton County. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Cotton Schramm of RFD 4, Suffolk, two daughters, Mrs. W. C. Dailey Jr., of Newport News and Miss Eunice Gayhardt Schramm of RFD 4, Suffolk, and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday [15 February 1950] at the Sycamore Baptist Church, with the Rev. L. A. Knipe, the Rev. R. D. Stephenson and Dr. N. G. Newman officiating. Burial will be in Sycamore Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Claud Edwards, Russell Cotton, Raymond Reams, Ryland Edwards, William Baker, Lawrence Eley, Presley Eley, and Irvin Langford.
