Virgie Spivey Rowell, age 88, died Tuesday, 24 December 1991.  

Survived by three granddaughters: Debra Alger of Poquoson, with whom she made her home for the past 6½ years; Mary Schell of York County; and Karen Woodward of Williamsburg; daughter-in-law, Lois Rowell of York County.  

Funeral Saturday, 28 December 1991, at 1 PM in the Amory Funeral Home Chapel, Grafton, with Rev. George E. Massay.  

Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News.
