She was the daughter of Mrs. Sallie Joymer Stephenson and the late James E. Stephenson and was a member of Windsor Baptist Church. English was a native of Southampton County. She is survived by her husband, William H. English of Windsor; a daughter, Mrs. A. C. Darden Jr. of Carrsville; a son William E. English of Windsor; two sisters, Mrs. Virtlie Freeman of Big and Mrs. T. B. Ellis of Churchland; and a brother, James E. Stephenson. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Windsor Baptist Church with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery in Suffolk.
