Shelton Story Obituary Shelton Thomas Story February 6, 1952 - January 25, 2024 Drewryville - Shelton "Shirtail" Thomas Story, 71, went home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2024. He was the son of the late Aubrey Thomas Story and Gladys Crowder Story. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Patsy Bryant Story. Shirtail was a graduate of Southampton High School and NC State University and was a retired warehouse manager for Meherrin Chemical Company. He was a member of Drewryville United Methodist Church and Shiloh Hunt Club. Shirtail enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding around the community visiting with the local farmers and spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Patti Cobb Story, two sons, Wesley S. Story (Hilliary) and Mason A. Story (Brittany) and one grandchild, Aubrie E. Story. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11 AM in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Baugham officiating. The family will receive friends at Shirtail and Patti’s house and suggests memorial donations be made to Shiloh Hunt Club and Capron Fire and Rescue.
