Ernest R. Taylor 

Severn, N.C., July 20 [1947]. Ernest R. Taylor, 72, died today at 6:45 a.m. at Kings Daughters Hospital, Portsmouth, after an illness of 12 weeks. 

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosa Taylor, of Newsoms, Va.; a son, Fletcher Taylor, of Portsmouth; three daughters, Mrs. P. D. Ellis and Mrs. Thomas Johnson, of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Jeannette Taylor, of Newsoms, eight grandchildren, and a half brother Royal Brooks, of Petersburg. 

The body, now at the Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins, Va., will be taken to the grave in Severn Cemetery for services Monday [22 Jul 1947] at 3:30 p.m.
