He was a graduate of Windsor High School, served in the National Guard, and retired from the Cheatham Annex Naval Base as an electrician. He participated in a cancer support group and will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather, who had a passion for fishing, the outdoors, and groundhog hunting. He is survived by his wife, Candy Woodward of Lanexa; his son, Jean E. Woodward and wife, Tracie, of Williamsburg; daughter, Kimberly W. Moore of Parkersburg, W.Va., and daughter Michelle L. Vance of Minneapolis, Minn.; four stepchildren: Irvin L. Stephens Jr. of Franklin, Amy S. Aston of Williamsburg, Eva Marie Chambers of Barhamsville, and Duane Staskiel of Lanexa; 15 grandchildren; and two sisters, Pat Woodward of Buchanan and Debbie Burke and husband, Mark, of Buchanan.
