Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today in Brown Funeral Home, 5624 26th St. W. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Christ United Methodist Church on 26th Street West, with the Rev. Thomas Otto officiating. Burial will be in Bluefield, Va. Memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church. Born in Rodefield, W.Va., Mr. Mason came to this area from Grundy, Va., in 1957. He was an electrical department manager. He attended Christ United Methodist Church and was a member of El Haso Shrine in Ashland, Ky., the Masonic Lodge of Grundy and Christ United Methodist Men's Club. He was chairman of the Board of Trustees of Christ United Methodist Church and was treasurer of the church. Surviving are his wife, Bessie; three daughters, Frances W. Johnson of Richmond, Va., Ruth Mason Buskirk of Dearborn Heights, Mich., and Nancy W. Griffith of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Ethel Osborne of Gaitherburg, Md.; and nine grandchildren.
