Bobby Worrell Obituary Bobby Bradshaw Worrell December 15, 1931 - February 1, 2024 Franklin - Bobby Bradshaw Worrell, 92, passed away on February 1, 2024 in Southside Regional Medical Center. Born and raised in Newsoms, he was a son of the late Kenneth Delaware Worrell and Clara Bradshaw Worrell. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Abbie-Fox Worrell; a sister, Annie Maude Dail; and six brothers, Skinny, Elmo, Clifford, Edward, K.D., and Fred Worrell. Bobby was a graduate of Newsoms High School and was a US Army veteran. He worked for 44 years in banking in the Franklin/Southampton County area. He served as Executor Director of The Elms Foundation before retiring at 80 years old. He was a former member of numerous civic organizations in the area and served on the Board of Directors of Paul D. Camp Community College, Southampton Memorial Hospital, and Southampton Academy. Bobby was a member of Franklin Baptist Church where he served as treasurer and deacon for many years. One of his greatest joys was riding his old Massey Ferguson tractor and gardening on his family farm. Bobby is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rochelle Person Worrell, a daughter, Sheree Worrell, and a son, Bobby Bradshaw "Brad" Worrell, Jr. and his wife Roze. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM Thursday, February 8, 2024 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Gibson officiating. Burial will be private.
